The enormously talented Coralie Bickford-Smith over at Penguin Books has just produced these lovely art-deco inspired book jackets for F Scott Fitzgerald’s novels to commemorate the 70th annivesary of his death in 1940. To be released on November 4, the titles in the series include The Beautiful and Damned, Flapper and Philosophers: The Collected Short Stories of F Scott Fitzgerald,The Last Tycoon, Tender is the Night, and This Side of Paradise and most famously, The Great Gatsby. via Creative Review.

We took a break from our show and checked out nearby Capsule. Tucked away in a garage on Rue de Turenne, we not only found some familiar faces but some fantastic distressed type at the front entrance.

invincible, always
Last night the streets of Paris were filled with songs and tributes to Michael Jackson. Everywhere along the banks of the Seine and outside Notre Dame were fragments of his music being performed by students, amateur musicians or simply playing on loudspeakers. French photographer Arno Bani created images intended for Michael Jackson’s unfinished album Invincible, which will go on auction later this year. It’s been a year since his death on June 25th, but he remains invincible, always.

While in New York last week I got the opportunity to walk around the National Stationery Show and stumbled across the Old Tom Foolery booth. Apart from ending up on their Wall of Fools, I loved their typestache poster. The best part is you can order one!
