Hap Chek (合尺) is the new collaboration of a producer and music composer, who after many years of working together independently have opened a music production company that focuses on producing, scoring and engineering commercial music for clients in Hong Kong and China. The name itself is related to Chinese traditional opera related to musical notation.
Whitespace worked with the pair to develop a brand image which speaks for Hap Chek that it is unique, professional and somewhat quirky to reflect their personalities and creativity. The simplicity of the Chinese characters allowed some exploration of the form and muted warm greys and blues were chosen for the color palette.
