Whitespace is a design consultancy that provides creative direction, branding and interactive services across various mediums, platforms and time zones for a diverse group of clients. Known as a technique that describes free space between elements, ‘white space’ symbolically represents an area that is visually striking without unnecessary complexity. This principle is a constant in Whitespace’s practice, and translates into work that is both rigorous in approach and resonant in meaning.
Whitespace is recognized for a modern sensibility combined with strong ideas, resulting in the development of brand identities, communications and websites for clients in retail & fashion, arts & culture, hospitality & lifestyle industries. Founded in 2005, the current team of 10 planners, designers and developers and a strong network of local and international consultants across the creative, retail and marketing fields has established Whitespace as one of the leading emerging creative firms in Asia.

Our Team
We’re culturally savvy individuals, designers & thinkers, attention seekers, passionate planners and proud developers that speak the local language with an international fluency. We’re big believers in good design & good vibes, and we like to make things happen. As a tight-knit team, we also collaborate with a wide network of consultants and partners both locally and overseas, and we’re used to juggling timezones and temperaments to get the right results.

Community
Our Commitment
We believe in our community. We’ve participated and curated events and exhibitions that bring people together in creative and constructive ways. The studio has supported a number of initiatives by various organizations and educational institutions including Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design, Business of Design Week, DETOUR, Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Design, Hong Kong Design Institute, Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong and others. We also work with a select number of local and international non-profit organizations each year.

Opportunities
Our Internship Programme
We offer internships for highly-motivated and passionate individuals who are interested in gaining design experience. Our interns are a valuable part of the team, and work hands-on and side-by-side with us on both client and in-house projects. Internships are 3 months long. Applicants that are interested should have a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and must be eligible to work in Hong Kong or hold a valid identity card.
