Named after a stone-arch found in Shanghai architecture, Shikumen is an investment firm that similarly blends Western and Eastern ideas and experience. They approached Whitespace with the name and asked the studio to help give shape to their ideas. WHITESPACE worked with the partners to create a clean, simple logo that represents their name and symbolizes their security and professionalism. The identity system utilizes black, white and grey, resulting in a striking simplicity and strength throughout all of their materials. Their bi-lingual website was completed in 2011.
