Not many specialized speaker brands could focus solely on producing high end amp and speakers without accommodating the iPhone and iPod users' needs. Bang & Olufsen has addressed this concern with its new product Beolit 12 through it's new line B&O Play. Apple has not only transformed the computer world but telecommunication, photographing and audio aspect of our lives. Hats off - Steve Jobs.
TEEBS (Mtendre Mandowa), is a producer and painter born in New York to Malawi and Barbados origins. He has released two widely praised albums in the past year, both “Ardour” and “Collections 01”.
Early in his musical pursuits, Teebs joined a group of like-minded friends and producers who went by the name 'My Hollow Drum'. Within this group, he was able to build new ideas, share works and perfect his craft for producing music. As he progressed, Teebs propelled his ideas into such other diverse organisations, like Red Bull Music Academy, Dublab and Brain Feeder. His debut album, Ardour, was probably one of the most pleasant things released from this particular sector last year, but it was easy for track after track of dense nature-scapes to blur together and to lose sight of Teebs' own fascinating personality in the grand scheme of faceless beauty. Flying Lotus described ‘Teebs’ music like an island vacation..The way Avatar looks.
Collections 01, like Ardour, is abrasive, romantic, colourful with loose but meticulous compositions. This has been a hugely successful release with each song containing specific elements that give it a unique character. Featuring tracks with harpist Rebekah Raff and BrainFeeder’s Austin Peralta, the album creates a rich and soothing palette of composed instrumentals, justified with immaculate production.

The venue at West Kowloon is great, we just need more, more, more of these events in Hong Kong! Jing mesmerizing the crowd with his acoustic guitar and harmonica at the same time!
Our studio is fans of Beats! Glad it's just opened in NYC yesterday and the poster is cool. But the cake is hysterical.

Radio this term sounds a bit distant as we all are highly engaged with our own podcast and iTune. But when I see this Magno radio, it brings special feeling coz I have not seen a physical radio for a long time. I guess Tivoli is sort of facing some direct competition now. Check out other wood made stationery from the site.
We just came across this striking 1956 album cover of Frank Sinatra Conducts Tone Poems of Color. Known for his voice, this is a completely instrumental work but together by Sinatra of different mid-20th century Hollywood composers. Quite daring for its time but still fresh in its originality and design.
I am keen to support local music group and band and glad to know that Chochukmo - an indie rock band of 5 members has launched their debut album after their set up since 2005. I look forward to seeing more creative talents boom and bloom.
This album cover is designed and painted by Simon Birch.
I was just strolling at Wanchai and came across this cute little shop called Daydream Nation. I long read about them and finally see the shop on my own. And coincidentally 1 of the designer, Kay, is there and we started to chat - about music, about the brand and the store. My new year wishes to Kay and Jing - may your passion never stop and keep all the good ideas & music coming.
