A poetic video capturing the Holi festival in India - so breathe-taking and vivid you can almost feel the powder. Film by Jonathan Bregel & Khalid Mohtaseb from New York based production company Variable
Came across this documentary directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulmanon on artist Chris Burden and a kinetic sculpture that has taken him four years to build. This was filmed before the piece was moved to the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art (LACMA) where it is being reinstalled. We're in love with every detail and only wished we could have witnessed this in motion.
Tilda Swinton never fails us, she keeps on bringing us surprises with her impeccable acting and image. This time she is playing the mother of a school child who behaved like a sociopath and killed the other mates at school in the film We Need To Talk About Kevin. I can't wait to see this movie in Hong Kong.
I find this bench super interesting as the balloon looks so real, and imagine just sitting there enjoying your favorite read with a Mojito in hand in Summer! "This is bench was visually inspired by the feeling of floating that the main character felt in the French movie, “Le Ballon Rouge”(1953). In reality the bench is suspended from the ceiling by 4 anchors concealed by the balloon shapes. This creates the illusion of the bench being lifted by balloons." Japanese really know how to bring dream to live, you can tell from the amazing animation and products they design. This dreamy bench is brought to you by h220430.

A film by Göran Hugo Olsson, The Black Power Mixtape is a brilliantly edited montage of lost 16mm footage shot by Swedish photographers in America from 1967-75; combined with audio interviews from some of today's leading African-American artists, activists, musicians and scholars; and set to a music by Grammy-winner Questlove. A special screening at MoMA is being held by our friends over at React to Film
We love Richard Avedon.
We loved the book but will we love the scents? Fresh comes out with a trio of fragrances based on Elizabeth Gilbert's bestseller, Eat, Pray, Love. One of my favourite scents is their Pomegranate Anise, but it will be interesting to see how they capture her story in these simple fragrances, inspired by three locations, Italy, India and Indonesia.
Julia Roberts stars in the film with the same name, opening on August 13th.
Filmed at Las Pozas, Monterrey and García in Mexico. Directed by Josh Logue.
